US–Iran Tensions Enter “Waiting Game” as Fragile Ceasefire Holds

The current situation between Iran and the USA is quite tense and it's more like a 'waiting game' defined by a fragile ceasefire and economic pressure. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that the joint attacks with Israel are now stopped and the US is now launching operation freedom to escort stranded ships through the Strait of Hormuz. While the U.S. claims its current actions are purely defensive, it is maintaining a strict economic blockade to squeeze Iran's finances. Experts warn the situation is a "dangerous seesaw"; despite the Trump administration's claims that they prefer negotiations, the heavy military presence in the region means that any small provocation could tip the conflict back into an all-out war.
